A Bit About Me

Ive been passionate about photography since the age of fifteen. I managed to obtain my first 'proper' camera whilst still at Boarding School. It was the original Olympus OM1, film of course, and I recall producing some wonderful images of the Rhododendrons and Landscapes of Ashdown Forest in Sussex. That was the beginning of a life long obsession with Photography.

I have lived in Surrey or Sussex for most of my life, although a few years in the Military in my younger years took me across many countries, and gave me some incredible life experiences that I will never forget. My favourite times for sure were jumping out of aircraft as a freefall parachute instructor. I've been going on about is so much all my life that two of my children decided to give it a go recently - check out the photos below.
I turned professional with photography about seventeen years ago, and when I shot my first wedding I knew I was hooked. There is so much emotion and beauty involved in that one special day, that I quickly became addicted in capturing it all for my clients so they can remember every moment when they look at their images.
It's an amazing privilege being able to capture an entire set of images for a couple on their most important day - ever. I never forget, even today after so many years of doing this, just how hard the Bride and others have worked to make this one day go like a dream come true. I am always honoured to be asked to be a part of it.

I am often asked what 'Style' of photographer I am. I would describe myself as considerate and discreet making sure that I respect the environment and situation around me accordingly. When I am photographing a wedding, you wont notice me jumping around like a jack in the box, disrupting the proceedings, or drawing attention to myself. With my years of experience of weddings, I know exactly where to be at what time throughout the day, at any given moment. Thats my job. I will ensure that I capture the sharpest, finest, happiest, most beautiful and desirable photographs possible for you.

I have owned many brands and types of cameras over the years and am now totally comfortable with my equipment set up. Check out the 'Camera's' tab on my website if the gear interests you in any way. It's the finest gear on the market - period.
I am married with four wonderful children who are probably the most photographed kids in the world ! My wife, Vanessa, is amazingly supportive as I spend countless days away photographing something or other, and my children have all grown up seeing me with a camera (or two!) slung over my shoulder.
These days when I am not shooting a Wedding, I keep fit by cycling through the roads of Box Hill in Surrey and Ashdown Forest in Sussex, or hiking with my wife, and yes, I will normally have a camera on me - just in case !
The most pleasing part of my job is seeing the look on clients faces when they receive their images after the wedding day. It's such a buzz to see everyone so thrilled after all the hard work they have put into making sure their day goes as planned. You need to see the beauty and emotion of that day in every photograph and that is my number one aim.
Click on the 'Reviews' tab and look at some of the comments that my clients have left me over the years.

Most importantly, why not get in touch with me as soon as possible to make sure that your date is available, and also to enable us to get to know more about each other and your requirements as well as clear up any questions you might have.
